Our tradition is to decamp to the South of France for July and August, sometimes joined by other members of the family, with occasional visits to Italy. I've only just realised that this is my 31st summer in St Tropez.
Every year since I was seven years old the age my youngest is now we have been coming here as a family, a tradition started by my mum Suzanna that I have followed.
Each day starts with a run along the Sentier du Littoral coastal hiking path, bright and early, with a bikini under my shorts and a hoodie so I can jump in the sea once I reach La Ponche in town-our favourite spot, with a perfect view of the famous terracotta bell tower.
I often see people heading home from afterparties as I start my day and I mentally high-five them as I keep jogging.
My running companions are usually the local peacocks, who only come out very early before the sun rises, and take themselves to the bakery to nibble on seeds that the friendly baker throws out for them.
The town is beautiful and I adore the incredible produce from the market's fish stall.
FAMILY FUN
My elder son John, who's nine, shares my love of cooking with local flavours and we make plenty of bouillabaisse from scratch, along with salads, roasted whole seabass and fresh tomato salads and tarts.
