Being a trailblazer, an inspiration and a magazine cover girl - these are just a few of the things Ellie Goldstein has become known for since carving out her career in fashion modelling, and she's only just begun. The 22-year-old Essexborn star has graced the country's top magazines and secured lucrative fashion deals - from high street brand Asos to Gucci.
And as an ambassador for learning disabilities charity Mencap, Ellie hopes to use her own experience of having Down's syndrome to help and inspire others. Sitting down for an exclusive chat with new, Ellie radiates positivity from the get-go.
"I've always been very confident, so I never let my condition affect me - I've always wanted to be a famous model so everything I've done so far has been a dream come true," says Ellie.
When Ellie was born doctors said she wouldn't walk or talk due to her extra chromosome but she has gone on to defy all odds, beginning with walking, talking and reading by the time she started school.
From beauty campaigns to glossy editorial shoots - including breaking new ground by gracing the May 2023 cover of VogueEllie has made quite a mark on the fashion world. She rose to prominence at just 18 years old, when she was chosen to model in Gucci's Unconventional Beauty campaign. "I've liked fashion since I was five and always had a pretend catwalk," laughs Ellie, as we wonder what started the passion for style.
