Samantha Kenny’s Love Island experience came to a dramatic end last week, when she was unceremoniously dumped from the Majorcan villa in a brutal recoupling.
The 26-year-old make-up artist from Liverpool had been coupled up with TOWIE original Joey Essex for the past two weeks, before bombshell Grace Jackson arrived and rekindled her romance with her ex – leaving Samantha high and dry.
Speaking exclusively to new just days after her exit, Samantha has revealed she has no regrets about pursuing a romance with Joey, but slams him for wasting her time and “disregarding her feelings”. And, following rumours that Joey and Grace “didn’t ever split up” after their fling last summer, Samantha has questioned their relationship.
Here, she also opens up about going back into the villa, finding love and her exciting new venture with clothing brand Glamify Fashion…
Hi, Samantha! How are you feeling after leaving the villa?
I’m good. I’m happy to be home! It’s been a roller-coaster ride. I’ve watched the last four or five episodes from when the bombshells came in. I just wante to give myself a hug.
Do you have any regrets about the experience?
I’m getting a lot of people saying I closed myself off with Joey, but he was the first person I was initially attracted to. I don’t have any regrets about going for the one person I fancied because I was true to myself. I wasn’t going to force connections with people I didn’t have connections with. I’ve got no regrets about the way I handled the situation either because I think I handled it really well – I could have exploded! It’s been an amazing experience – I just didn’t find love.
How do you feel about Joey now?
