After months of rumours about living separate lives and batting off suggestions of a split, all eyes were on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they made their first joint appearance in two months.
The couple made a powerful statement as they appeared together in a video to share a message about the importance of child protection online at a United Nations conference in Colombia. In the video, Harry and Meghan - who moved to California in June 2020-stood next to each other and looked directly at the camera but, despite their side-by-side appearance conveying a "united front", the couple appeared "emotionally reserved".
Body language expert Adrianne Carter explained, "Harry and Meghan are both holding themselves in a very formal, emotionally reserved way, which could be because of the nature of the context the video is for. Their similar attire suggests a desire to present a united front." In the footage, Meghan, 43, appeared with her hair loose over her shoulders, donning a chic navy blazer, while Harry, 40, looked sharp in a shirt matched with a jacket. The pair-who are parents to Archie, five, and Lilibet, three- each wore a poppy on their lapels to honour Remembrance Day.
