Pregnant Michelle 'wasn't sure it would happen for them'

Now that Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have shared their baby news, a source tells new what lies ahead for the couple as they prepare to welcome their much-anticipated first child

Mark Wright and his actress wife Michelle Keegan have spent several years fielding constant questions from fans about when they were going to have a baby. But they finally stopped following the couple's happy announcement last week - thanks to a stunning photo of 37-year-old Michelle cradling a growing baby bump on a beach that they are going to become parents for the first time, almost 10 years after tying the knot.

For many of the former Corrie star's eagle-eyed fans, the weeks of photos posted to Michelle's socials of her wearing coats, or snaps taken from behind or with her tummy cleverly hidden- as well as a lack of red carpet and party appearances since the summer, finally made sense. According to a source, the couple have no regrets about holding off on starting a family, especially since Michelle's role in Netflix thriller Fool Me Once catapulted her to new heights career-wise and no doubt set her up for a busy future of lucrative work.

"This baby couldn't have come at a better time for Michelle, she finally feels ready to take as much time out from her career as she needs and fully focus on being a mum," the source told new. "She always knew that, when she had a baby, she would want to be able to devote everything to her family and not have to worry about work.
