Victoria Beckham is, by anyone’s standards, in a great place. She has a successful fashion and beauty empire, a close-knit family and has just celebrated 25 years of marriage to handsome football icon David. The couple were on holiday in Corsica last month with three of their four kids, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13, and shared a string of happy snaps of their getaway on Instagram.
Indeed, as Victoria opened up in a recent interview with Hollywood star Nicole Kidman for Vogue Australia, the former Spice Girl, 50, admitted that being married to David for 25 years feels like “such an achievement”.
She added that, now the kids are getting older and flying the nest, the couple “are in the next chapter of our lives together”.
And, according to a source, part of this exciting new chapter has seen Victoria set down some rules for David when it comes to keeping their relationship alive.
Our source claimed, “They both have so much going on at the moment, so Victoria has started making new rules for David to make sure nothing slips. This involves at least two date nights a month, a weekend away, just the two of them, every six weeks and one big holiday a year – with no expense spared – where they both switch off their phones.”
The source added, “Victoria’s rules also include surprise romantic gestures like little presents, flowers or jewellery; no work or kids talk when they go out; getting dressed up for each other and making an effort – and being open and honest when they’re stressed or annoyed with each other.”
