They may have only tied the knot seven months ago, but it seems the honeymoon phase is well and truly over for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. The couple who reunited in 2021, almost two decades after they first got engaged have been the picture of marital bliss since getting hitched in Las Vegas last July. But after a number of public quarrels, it seems what was once new and shiny has tarnished with age.
The pair's spat made headlines, as did Affleck's glum expression throughout the night.
The A-listers raised eyebrows on February 5 after they were captured sharing what appeared to be a very tense exchange at the 2023 Grammy Awards. Footage of the couple showed Affleck, 50, whispering something in his wife’s ear right before Lopez, 53, gives him a light slap on the chest and appears to snap at him. “Stop. Look more friendly. Look motivated,” one lip-reader speculated Lopez had said during the squabble. To which the actor appears to respond, “I might.”
Lopez appeared irritated while house-hunting in Los Angeles with Affleck on February 8.
