British royals KEEPING CALM & CARRY

As they stepped out of the car ready for the Royal Variety Performance, the A Prince and Princess of Wales kept their huge smiles plastered across their faces. The only hint that it was something other than business as usual were the shouts from the press pack who'd gathered for their arrival.

"Your Royal Highness, have you got a comment about Omid Scobie's book?" asked one. "Did you watch the Piers Morgan show last night?" another called out.

Prince William and Princess Catherine, both 41, kept their eyes firmly on each other as they briefly clasped hands, before the future king guided his wife down the red carpet at Royal Albert Hall on November 30. The outing came at a particularly tumultuous time for the couple after two senior members of the British Royal Family were identified as those who had allegedly made remarks about the colour of Prince Archie's skin ahead of his birth in 2019.

The names were accidentally printed in the Dutch version of Omid Scobie's new book, Endgame, which was released on November 28. The tome was pulled from sale in the Netherlands after one day with the inclusion put down to a "translation issue".
