Brooke Shields I'M AMAZED THAT I SURVIVED

Ahead of the release of her twopart documentary, Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, the actress enjoyed some time in Turks and Caicos with her husband, Chris Henchy, and their daughters, Rowan, 19, and Grier, 16. “Fun in the sun,” she captioned a carousel of snaps from the getaway, including a selfie of her petrified face while parasailing. “Now back to work.”

Shields has been fearlessly promoting the documentary that premiered to a standing ovation at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and is now streaming on Disney+. She’s embracing the chance to shed light on the many controversies that plagued her career, including her role as a 12-year-old prostitute in the 1978 Louis Malle movie Pretty Baby, her infamously provocative Calvin Klein jeans ads, and sexually precocious roles in Blue Lagoon at age 15 and Endless Love at 16. In addition, she speaks to her complicated relationship with her alcoholic mother and former manager, Teri Shields, who died in 2012.
