Like a lot of Aussie parents, any time the TV is on in Cilla Pershouse’s home it inevitably is on ABC Kids. But when the farmer’s mother told her about a “top-notch” show she had just watched called Muster Dogs, Cilla found her interest piqued. “If Mum likes it, I thought it must be very genuine and lovely because she’s a very quintessential country girl,” she tells WHO of the heartwarming Aussie doco series which, in the first season, followed five Kelpie pups’ journey to become champion muster dogs.
“Only a month or two later, they had a call-out for the next series,” Cilla shares. “I’ve never really had an affinity with Kelpies, I’ve always had Border Collies. And the second series, of course, was Border Collies, so I was like, ‘Sign me up!’”
