A GHOST STORY, A FAMILY DRAMA AND SOME HOLLYWOOD STAR POWER COLLIDE IN A RIVETING NEW PODCAST

DANCY FAMILY MURDER MYSTERY

it's a story that has all the right ingredients to make it onto the screen: the murder of a beautiful and brilliant mother, a husband left with a brave yet suspicious tale of survival, a ghost that just can't find peace and a cast of descendants decades later who decide to make a podcast to uncover the truth. And in the case of the killing of Naomi Dancy, if it ever was adapted for a movie or TV, her great-grandson would be able to portray himself as it is none other than British actor Hugh Dancy.

The Hannibal star, 48, discusses the 1937 killing of his ancestor on the new podcast, Ghost Story, with his brother-inlaw, journalist Tristan Redman. In the early hours of November 23, the 49-year-old doctor was shot twice in the face, once through each eye, as she slept in bed at her London home.

Her husband, John Dancy, who is called Feyther by his family, told police he'd escaped a vicious attack by his wife's brother, Maurice Tribe, who had killed Naomi. He said afterwards Tribe had taken his own life.

"The way I've always told it was that Feyther not only switched off the lights but also flung himself backwards down the stairs," Hugh recalls on Ghost Story of the escape.
