Following her separation from Sacha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher has just one thing on her mind-work. And with a plum new role in one of the most highly anticipated movies of next year, the Aussie star is set to shine brighter than ever.
Fisher has joined the cast of the fourth instalment of the Bridget Jones film, Mad About the Boy. In a case of art imitating life, the 48-year-old is set to play a single mum who becomes friends with Bridget (Renée Zellweger) following the loss of her husband Mark Darcy (Colin Firth).
The normally immaculately groomed star looked dishevelled, with her petticoat peeking out from under her dress, while filming what looks to be a hilarious scene in London in late May.
"Isla's real life is inspiring her new role in the Bridget Jones film," a source told British newspaper, The Sun. "She plays a single mother who befriended Bridget at the school gates. Isla loves Bridget Jones and is thrilled that she landed the part. Her own experience will help her in the role and it's great she's landed such a big part after a really tough time."
