Turning heads in a shimmering silver floor-length sequin gown while attending the Monte-Carlo Woman of the Year awards on March 24, Princess Charlene looked like she’d just stepped out of the pages of a fairytale. With her fuller cheeks and luminous skin, royal watchers couldn’t help but notice that the former Olympic swimmer, 45, certainly seems to have shaken off the shocking medical issues that have plagued her from 2020.
“The perfect princess,” commented one social media user, while another added, “The very picture of health.”
The only sign of any tension simmering below the surface was the pensive expression Charlene has become known for wearing, firmly plastered across her face as she posed for pictures alongside her husband, Prince Albert. The pair used the evening to put on a united front after they were forced to defend their 12-year marriage earlier in the week following claims published in the March cover story of French magazine Royauté that Charlene and Albert were in the process of “separating”.
“I would like to formally deny the malicious rumours,” said a palace spokesperson. “Please disregard this article which is totally unfounded.”
