THE CROWN GONE TOO FAR?

Ahead of The Crown Season 5 dropping on November 9, the controversy surrounding the Netflix drama has hit fever pitch. The final two seasons of the show focus on events of the 1990s and early 2000s, a period that threw up a series of scandals from which the royals took years to recover.

Season 6 looks most contentious, with new pictures showing Princess Diana's fatal car accident - which also killed Dodi Fayed and driver Henri Paul - being recreated in a Parisian tunnel just a few metres from where the real-life 1997 crash took place.
