With her bouncy brunette locks and classic girl-next-door good looks, Meg Bellamy appears to be a natural choice to portray the Princess of Wales in The Crown. But with no agent or acting credits to her name, landing the plum role in one of Britain’s best-loved dramas felt like an impossible dream – right up until it came true.
“I had left school and I was working at Legoland, which was the best job ever… ” the 21-year-old told the British newspaper The Telegraph. “In the first round of auditions, you had to say something about yourself and tell them your height. I told them I was a red brick at Legoland – that was my fun fact.”
