"Where is everybody?" asked Nandu, surprised.
"They will come soon," smiled Soham, "Why don't you help me set up all these Halloween decorations in the meantime!" Nandu helped Soham in putting some skulls, fake cobwebs and brooms everywhere in the room. They dragged some large pumpkins by the food table.
Nandu stared at the food table-it looked so inviting, with orange and black cupcakes, spider-shaped cookies and candies.
Soham was very busy, and even baked capsicums filled with mashed potato and stuck googly eyes on them. They really looked spooky and funny.
There was a huge cheese pizza that almost covered the whole table and looked like a ghost with spooky eyes made of olives.
There were fake bats hanging with black strings on the streamers and chairs and skull buckets full of chocolates.
"Wow, you put lots of effort into the decoration," said Nandu, all impressed.
Just then, the doorbell rang. It was Swati and Anu. They were dressed as chipmunks. Right behind them was Pranay, dressed as a cowboy.
"Why are you all dressed up?" asked Nandu, somewhat confused.
Swati and Anu laughed, "It is a Halloween dress-up party, silly!" "A Halloween Costume Party?" Nandu scratched his head; in his excitement, he didn't read the invitation card properly.
How he wished he had! He was almost in tears now, looking at his jeans and t-shirt.
