The Room

"I am so tired. Let me have some lemonade and then get to work," Jumpy monkey muttered as he returned home from the market.

The Room

He entered the adjacent room to get a glass of lemonade.

"Hey, what's this? How did the glass become empty?" he muttered, surprised.

Jumpy thought that perhaps he had already drunk the lemonade and had forgotten about it, so he didn't pay much attention. However, when this started happening continuously, he became furious.

"Who is this ill-mannered person drinking my lemonade every day? I will find out!" Jumpy shouted, waving his fist in the air.

From that day on, he started hiding outside the room, keeping an eye on it while keeping the glass of lemonade inside. But even then, when he entered the room after a while, he would find the glass empty.

Frustrated, Jumpy employed security guards in his house to catch the thief and installed CCTV cameras all around. However, items like lemonade, cold drinks, and water continued to disappear, and there was no trace of the thief.

After witnessing all this, Jumpy started believing that there was a ghost haunting that room, making it haunted. Jumpy stopped going near that room and restricted himself to using only one room in his house.

Many days passed since the incident. One evening, his old friends Cheeku rabbit and Meeku mouse came to his house.

Jumpy welcomed them and prepared a nice meal too.

"Wow! That was delicious! I feel like falling asleep right away. Jumpy, please show me my room so I can stretch out on the bed," Meeku said, caressing his stomach.

"Sorry, Meeku, but you will have to sleep in this room with us," Jumpy said apologetically.

"No problem, Jumpy! We can all adjust here. By the way, are there any paying guests staying in the other rooms?" Cheeku asked.

"No, it is empty," Jumpy quickly replied.

"What! There's an empty room, yet you're asking us to sleep here! Have you kept treasure in that room?" Meeku teased Jumpy.
