All of us have interesting stories to tell. Whatever part of the country you’re from, whatever you perceive you look like, whatever your age is, whatever faith you subscribe to (or don’t) – we all have life in common. It’s all part of the trials, the tribulations, the sorrows, and, yes, the unbridled joy of being a woman, or identifying as a woman. It is in this diverse unity that we rejoice because it is to be celebrated. This is a group of women who you might or might not know, but who we guarantee you’re going to see a little bit of yourself in because of our tapestry of shared experiences. They’re you. They’re us. We’re all in this together.
TANA PUNIYA
MODEL & ACTOR
Hailing from the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, Tana Puniya became a state winner at Femina Miss India 2023; it was a highlight of her journey in pageantry. As an engineering student, she used to be very shy, but she gained confidence over time. Now, she finds herself at ease on stage, voicing her opinions and learning from people. Currently, she is a full-time model.
"Today, women are becoming more visible and influential, which is a very good thing. Every corner of India is beginning to understand the needs of women. Women are speaking up more loudly for their rights, their choices, and their freedom. That progress makes me really happy."
"Being featured in Femina's 65th anniversary issue is very special to me, especially since I've been part of the Femina Miss India pageant. Being on the set for this cover story has been amazing."
