Indian women love kajal. Pair it with a shimmery golden lid for a match made in heaven.
GET THE LOOK
1 Prep your skin: apply a hydrating moisturiser on your skin and massage it in. To get Deepika’s radiant base, apply an illuminating primer on the high planes of your face. Take a contour stick, gently apply a few strokes on the jawline, the cheekbones and the forehead, and blend. Apply a brightening, creamy concealer on your under-eye area and any other areas you need to conceal. Use a lightweight foundation and buff it into the skin.
2 Use a brow pomade to fill in the eyebrows; using a spoolie, gently push the brow hairs upwards.
3 Spread a neutral eyeshadow all over the eyelids with a flat eyeshadow brush. Then use gold eyeshadow all over the lid and blend.
4 Draw a thick line across your eyelid, close to the lid, with a thick kajal pencil. Repeat on your lower lash line. Use a smudging brush to smudge the line for that smokey effect, rather than a harsh line.
5 Curl your lashes with a lash curler and apply multiple coats of a lengthening mascara, waiting for them to dry between coats to really amplify the eyelashes.
6 For that lit-from-within glow, sweep a golden highlighter on the cheekbones with a large fluffy brush. Line your lips with a nude pencil and fill in with a matte liquid lipstick. Finish the look off with a setting spray.
