Playing a loving wife and husband came easy for Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms. During the production of their new Netflix movie Family Switch—about parents who magically swap bodies with their two teens—the stars turned the set into a bonding experience. “We didn’t disperse when somebody said, ‘Cut,’” recalls Garner, 51, a mom in real life to Violet, 18, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11, with ex-husband Ben Affleck. “We all stayed and hung out and played with the babies.” (Those would be twins Lincoln and Theodore Sykes, who appear as the couple’s youngest child.) Jokes Helms, 49, who has a wife and kids (he doesn’t disclose their names publicly): “We spent too much time together.” The stars chatted about family life, laughter and one very awkward kiss.

JENNIFER GARNER Not really. We have close friends in common, so that lent familiarity and warmth. ED HELMS Anyone who knew Jen was like, “You’re going to love her.” And they were right.
