A young orangutan strikes out on her own in the forests of Sumatra

The Jungles episode of 2019 Netflix nature series Our Planet introduced viewers to Eden, an infant orangutan with a distinctive spike of ginger hair, living on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.

Now, the makers of Our Planet have returned to Sumatra to catch up with Eden, her family and other orangutans sharing their habitat in feature-length documentary Secret Lives of Orangutans.

Since we last saw Eden, she has been spending all of her time with her mother to learn some essential life skills.
