INTO THE AMAZON WITH ROBSON GREEN TUESDAY, 9PM, CHANNEL 5 TRAVELOGUE
Robson Green is no stranger to taking roads less travelled for his TV expeditions. But the popular actor, presenter and keen fisherman reckons his excursion through the Amazon rainforest for a new Channel 5 series is his ‘best adventure to date’!
The three-parter, Into the Amazon with Robson Green, sees the Grantchester star begin his tour on the white sandy shores of Alter do Chão in Brazil – known as the ‘Caribbean of the jungle’ – before venturing into the heart of one of the world’s most captivating ecosystems.
Along the way, he meets survival experts and indigenous tribes, plus discovers the secrets of some of the amazing creatures who call this incredible but challenging landscape home, including pink dolphins and sloths.
‘There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the Amazon!’ enthuses Robson, 59.
