Every parent’s worst nightmare is explored in Irish thriller The Boy That Never Was.

Airing in double bills on Alibi this week and next, the four-part series stars Toni O’Rourke and Colin Morgan as couple Robin and Harry Lonergan, struggling artists living in bustling Moroccan port city Essaouira with their three-year-old son Dillon. But their world is shattered when Dillon disappears, presumed dead, following an earthquake.

A few years later, Robin and Harry are desperately trying to rebuild their lives back in their native Dublin when things take a twist after Harry believes he spots his lad at a crowded train station in the Irish capital.

‘It’s a heartbreaking and gut-wrenching story,’ shares Irish actor Toni, as she joins TV Times for an exclusive interview.
