Adam Dalgliesh faces one of his most-challenging cases to date as the third run of Channel 5's 1970sset police drama Dalgliesh begins.
The new series finds the thoughtful detective, played by Bertie Carvel, promoted to Commander and in charge of a special unit dealing with high-profile crimes.
'He had considered giving it up, but chose to remain and redouble his pursuit of truth,' says Bertie. 'And now he's investigating "sensitive" crimes.'
