BRASSERIE ASTORIA

11 Empress Pl, Singapore 179558

Housed in the grandeur of the Victoria Concert Hall is Brasserie Astoria - a restaurant that pays homage to the nostalgic spirit of grand dining halls with flambé trolleys, tableside service, and chef Frantzén's take on classic brasserie fare. Sentiment without the expected humdrum, Singapore's outpost mirrors the Stockholm flagship that occupied what was once Astoria Cinema. Elegant design with a rich history, the restaurant introduces the Plat Du Jour prefixed lunch menu with classical brasserie dishes drawing from Nordic and French influences.

With a special menu updated weekly, diners can choose between a three-course option with a starter, main, and dessert, or a two-course option with a starter and main. Dishes include signatures like the toast Astoria and caesar salad to exciting new offerings like the coq au vin with pomme puree, red wine-braised onion, and the chicken schnitzel with beurre noisette, pomme puree, and salad verte. And if the stracciatella with grilled asparagus, marinated snap peas, arugula, and almonds or buri carpaccio with hot sauce and lemon smetana makes an appearance on the menu rotation, count yourself lucky.
