Celebrating 22 years of existence, Stella McCartney is one of those rare established brands that continues to have the original creative director it started out with, who also happens to be its founder. This Pre-Spring' 24, the London-based fashion house continues its vision for sustainability, while marking a journey into a sanctuary called the Lady Garden, a place where women can "exist away from society's expectations" and are "free to be themselves without judgement or compromise".
The collection is inspired by McCartney's American heritage and ever-evolving personal style specifically referencing the early years of her career. The garments embody femininity, friendship and fashion expressed through colours like black, white, grey, oat, raspberry and faded khaki green, and secondary tones like floral pink, sky blue, grass and tangerine. This season, 90 percent of the collection is crafted out of environmentally-friendly materials like viscose, organic cotton and silk, recycled nylon, polyester and cashmere.
