2023 A TREND HUNT
Grazia India|January 2023
If there's one thing that surfaced in our living spaces thanks to the mayhem wrecked by the last few years, it's comfort. It's here to stay. That said, our sensibilities have found a way around the fuddy-duddy makeshift caverns we'd turned our homes into, to open the door to statement style once again. From oxymorons to artisanal, organic, and even "chubby" chic, here's a look at what to look forward to on the home and design front, as recommended by our architects and designers

2023 A TREND HUNT

KAVYA SHETH (STUDIO RUH)

This year, the buzz is all about form-driven sculptural furniture that is a cross between function and art. Sculptural and bold forms outlining lounge chairs, coffee tables, side tables, and even lamps.

JASEM PIRANI (MUSE LAB)

"2023 is going to be the year of opposites. Think gleaming metal consoles offset by hand-plastered walls; sleek shoji screens juxtaposed with chunky wooden furniture. We will continue to integrate textile and ceramic-based craft forms. In the coming year, we intend to seek inspiration from oxymorons."

GAUTAM SETH (KLOVE)

"Oh 2023 is definitely going to be the year of everything made in India. The artisan will rule. Artisanal perfumes and even artisanal spirits are going to be 'it' things. Stock up."

FARAH AHMED (FADD)

"Chubby chic furniture will pick up and continue strongly into 2023."

ARUN SHEKHAR GOWDA (HUMMING TREE)
