THE ULTIMATE WEEKEND
From 13 to 15 September, experience the best of Malaysian hospitality, music and culture at Desaru Coast's Ombak Festival. Located along the sunny beaches of Johor, Malaysia, the festival will feature over 50 events and 23 local and regional acts over one weekend, including pop culture icon Grace Jones, Grammy winner Macy Gray, hit-maker The Cardigans as well as regional talents such as Alena Murang, Thee Marloes, and Aisyah Aziz. Festival goers can enjoy an array of international and Malaysian cuisines, with award-winning local chefs and mixologists bringing the best of their menus to eateries in the area. There are also exciting art installations, activities and even an exclusive Ombak kids programme for guests of all ages.
DESIGN FOR ALL
Singapore Design Week 2024 returns from 26 September to 6 October. Themed "People of Design", this year's edition celebrates everyday visionaries that shape our society through design. The event will cover a greater area within Singapore's dynamic districts of Bras Basah. Bugis, Orchard and Marina, each featuring exhibitions, experiential activations, installations and workshops that reflect the unique charm and character of the local community. Participants can also look forward to a lineup of over 70 events ranging from talks to after-hours tours to marketplaces, and even innovation fairs and panel discussions on the role of design in an ever-changing digital world.
