Cartier's Trinity ring comes full circle in 2024 as it crosses its centenary milestone. An emblem of timeless modernity, it's hard to believe that the cult favourite was born in 1924. This jewellery icon embodies the Maison's most cherished values: diversity, harmony and love-symbolised by its three intertwining rings in yellow, rose and white gold that connect beautifully in unison as a trio. Most importantly, the three rings are imbued with meaning and sentiment, evoking the multiple connotations of love.
Like many of Cartier's creations, the Trinity was conceived by Louis Cartier, playing a pivotal role as the beacon of modernity in the world of jewellery, claiming its status as the Maison's first design icon. Next, the number three is significant in Cartier's history, referencing the three brothers, Louis, Pierre and Jacques; the Maison's three historic Cartier boutiques in Paris, London and New York; and the number of perfection.
