A strong defensive ammo contender.
NOSLER'S ASP AMMO

I was once asked if I could only hunt with one bullet, what bullet would it be? Of all the gunrelated questions I often get, this is the easiest to answer. It would unquestionably be the Nosler AccuBond. The reason it would be the AccuBond is because I've seen it work so well, so many times, that I trust it explicitly. In fact, Nosler makes the three hunting bullets I most often recommend: the AccuBond, the Partition and the Ballistic Tip. However, when asked about a good bullet for a defensive handgun, I've never recommended one from Noster. This isn't because I think Nosler makes bad handgun bullets; it's because that up until now I've always felt there were better options.

For 2022, Nosler has added a new line of ammunition for defensive handguns. After testing it, I'm convinced it's a load worth recommending. The name ASP” stands for Assured Stopping Power, and Nosler’s goal with the ASP ammo line was to provide defensive handgun ammunition that'd deliver match-grade accuracy, feed reliably and provide good terminal performance.

Currently, Nosler is offering ASP ammo for the 9mm Luger, 40 S&W, 10mm and 45 Auto. It’s available in either 20or 50-round boxes and reasonably priced from about 1 to 1.25 per round. If you're a reloader, Nosler offers ASP bullets as components. Prices range between 0.34 and 0.47 per bullet.
