After making the move to leave Loose Women in 2020 after what she describes as ‘a nervous breakdown’, Andrea McLean thought she’d finally catch a break with her health. But today, the 53-year-old is only just getting to feel more herself again.
Andrea, who now focuses on life coaching and her This Girl Is On Fire online community and self-help book, told fans that she was bedridden after suffering from a mystery illness and an ‘absolute exhaustion’ that left her unable to function. Now, with a clear diagnosis of long COVID, which has weakened her immune system, and having implemented new techniques to help her body and mind, Andrea says she is on the mend. ‘I’m finally starting to feel better and exercise,’ she confirms. ‘It was a big life lesson, but it’s nice to be back.’
