Pay the Price for Peace

We all know that peace is an exceedingly high good. And for an exceedingly high good we should expect to pay an exceedingly high price. The price for the costliest entity in the phenomenal world cannot be nominal.

Some people often forget to hug their parents, or their favorite people for the simple reason that they see each other every day and there is no reason to miss them, not understanding that seeing these people another day, healthy and smiling, is already a blessing. In order to maintain internal peace in a nation, public law and order is maintained by the police and judicial body and taxes are paid to the government in order to run these bodies efficiently. So, we are paying the price for maintaining internal peace - not directly but indirectly.
