Today, after a few months, with a copy of 'Yoga and Total Health' in my hands, I feel at home and relaxed. The last few months have been exhausting for me emotionally - from finding a suitable groom for my daughter to getting her married was no less than a roller coaster ride. There were high and low moments and now finally, everything is calm.
She is happily married and I thank God with folded hands and a gratitude-filled heart. This period was tough on me and I had to go through almost all the lessons learnt at The Yoga Institute. My mind was not settled and the monkey inside was jumping in anxiety. The question was, "How to choose the right life partner for my sweetheart whom we had raised with all the love and care?" I realized that my attachment to her was a major hindrance as I wanted a perfect match in terms of the boy's education, culture, character, job etc. I wanted it all for her. With every proposal coming our way, I would discuss it with my elder sister-inlaw and her husband who are also senior Sadhakas at The Yoga Institute. They have been associated with the Couples' Class for many years, in which they discuss various issues of couples in their marital life and the ways to deal with them.
