Premier Basix Chunky bulky (chunky) weight acrylic yarn (3½ Oz/ 117 yds/100g per skein): 1 skein #1145-05 tan

Premier Colorfusion DK light (DK) weight acrylic yarn (3½ oz/ 325 yds/100g per skein): 1 skein #1196-14 morning coffee

Size H/8/5.0mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Tapestry needle

GAUGE

Headband: 9 sts = 2½ inches; 8 rows=2½ inches Take time to check gauge.

PATTERN NOTES

The headband is crocheted from the center outward in 2 halves.

Ears are crocheted back to front.

Chain-1 at beginning of row does not count as a stitch.

Work in back loops only throughout unless otherwise indicated.

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

HEADBAND

FIRST HALF

Row 1 (RS): With tan, loosely ch 10, working in back bar of ch (see illustration), sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 8 chs, turn. (9 sc)

Row 2: Ch 1 (see Pattern Notes), working in back lps only (see Stitch Guide and Pattern Notes), sc in each st across, turn.
