PREVIOUS PROPERTY 'We lived in a small flat, also in London,' says Katy.
Breathing new life into an old property can certainly be satisfying, particularly if it turns a dilapidated house into a stylish family home. When Katy Orme and partner Jules purchased a run-down 1930s semi in a leafy suburb of southeast London their aim was exactly that. A renovation project was ideal as I don't like the idea of paying for someone else's taste,' says Katy.
As the author of the award-winning interiors and DIY blog Apartment Apothecary (apartmentapothecary.com), which she has been running since 2013, Katy is certainly well versed in knowing how to style a home to suit, recently extending her services to those needing a helping hand by offering design consultations across London and online. And with daughter Mimi just a year old at the time, the couple felt the time was right to upsize.
