Master Of Precision
August Man SG|Issue 204
SINCE ITS GRAND DEBUT in 1992, Jaeger-LeCoultre's Master Control collection has been a masterclass in technical prowess and understated elegance. Think of it as the watch equivalent of a perfectly tailored suit - sharp, timeless, and forever stylish.

Master Of Precision

In 2020, the brand decided it was time for a refresh, drawing inspiration from the suave round watches of the 1950s, such as the Futurematic, PowerMatic, and Memovox, but with a sleek twist. This wasn't about playing favourites with one historic model. It was about celebrating the watchmaker's entire greatest hits collection, while breathing new life into it.

Designed for urbane sophisticates, the Master Control line has been completely reworked. Jaeger-LeCoultre's designers gave its classic design codes a contemporary edge, creating a refined aesthetic that still screams modernity. Also, let's not forget the new pink gold alloy, Le Grand Rose gold. It's like trading in your trusty sports car for a sleek, high-performance roadster.

When the Master Control line hit the scene in 1992, it was the first Jaeger-LeCoultre collection to flaunt the '1000 Hours Control' certification, a rigorous testing procedure involving the entire cased-up watch. It set new industry standards and remains one of the most demanding protocols yet.
