Little did 10-year-old Thembelihle Dunjana know that one day, she would become one of South Africa's foremost young jazz composers and musicians. Her dedication to the piano began at school and continued when she studied jazz performance at the University of Cape Town. In 2021, her double-disk debut album, Intyantyambo, earned her the 'Best Jazz Song' and 'Best Female in Jazz' titles at the prestigious Mzantsi Jazz Awards. From cape Town to Oslo, she has performed at top festivals. In between, she is a committed music teacher at Camps Bay Primary School and mentors young talent from Khayelitsha.
