If you find the experience of sweaty bodies in a gym a bit intimidating, or the yearly expenses of a fancy gym subscription is just eating away at your pocket, do not fret. We've done our research, and there are so many alternative and fun ways to break a sweat - all in the comfort of your own home or outdoors in your local park. No gym or heavy, expensive equipment in sight.
Desk-friendly moves
Whether you're in your office cubicle or doing work from home, you have time to squeeze in a quick 15-minute workout session right there at your workstation.
TRICEPS DIPS
Work your chest and triceps using your chair. But be sure that your furniture doesn't have any wheels on it (that's an injury waiting to happen). With your back facing the chair, put your palms flat on the seat behind you, using your fingers to grip. Keeping your heels on the ground and your legs straight in front of you, lower yourself until your upper arms are nearly parallel to the ground. Lift yourself back up to your starting position and do 10-15 reps.
DESK PUSH-UPS
Ensuring that your desk is secure and firmly fixed to the ground, place your hands flat on the top surface (slightly wider apart than your shoulders), straighten your arms out and lower yourself until your chest almost touches the desk. Return to your starting position and repeat 10-15 times.
