To share OR NOT to share

Many of us enjoy posting our children's baby pics, funny videos and more on social media. But too much sharenting' can be detrimental...

To share OR NOT to share

We share a lot on social media, making sure to let our online ‘friends’ know (sometimes a little too much) about what’s going on in our lives. Often our kids get roped in to our online world as well: announcing Mom’s pregnancy, posting Insta-stories of swaddling babies, kids doing the latest dance moves or modelling their fashion looks, even those cute pics of our children in the bath.

With the plethora of family-centric content (that tends to get a lot of ‘likes’), there’s pressure on parents to know how much privacy they should give their children. Will you share every waking moment of your child’s life and become a blogger for thousands of strangers to view? Or can you leave sharing to a minimum? And how do you keep your kids safe in a digitally dominated society?
