I was born in Dandeli, a small village in India. When I turned four, I moved to Singapore for my dad's work-I've been living here ever since. I'm currently attending UWCSEA East Asia as a IBDP Year 1 student. I enjoy doing community service, reading and learning about the world of business.
What was behind setting up Global Girls Convergence?
I have founded many non-profits before, but none of them truly stuck with me. None of them worked towards solving a real global issue - until this one.
The story behind Global Girls Convergence is quite complex because there was no inciting moment or idea that edged me to start this initiative; rather, it was the amalgamation of experiences my closest family and friends and I had had that were linked to gender stereotyping, discrimination and expectations. This made me think, "If multiple people are experiencing the same situations, why is no one talking about it?"
