1 SANTOS DE CARTIER DUAL TIME

CARTIER

As tribute to the iconic Santos Dumontwhich turns 120 this year-Cartier has commissioned a Santos Dumont in the mould of those classic square originals that endeared so many to the Cartier brand. Headlining the revamped Santos de Cartier collection is the new Dual Time, which features a crisp, legible subdial at 6 o'clock that displays a second time zone. The function is a fairly basic one, but as with all things Cartier, it's the execution here that's masterful. Thin concentric circles around the subdial, a sunray-brushed dial, and a tiny date window at 3 o'clock make it rich in both function and form. Although this watch is mainly about the latter, it does feature an in-house movement with a 48-hour power reserve.

2 SURF BOARD

HERMÈS

Horses riding the waves? Only in the world of Hermès. Italian artist Gianpaolo Pagni brings a playful twist to the surfboard with two striking pop colourways-poppy orange and turquoise blue. The sea foam, creatively outlined with a stamp, transforms into a swirling graphic motif, printed directly onto the sycamore maple veneer wood. These surfboards blend artistry with a bit of fun, ideal for an adventure-filled holiday by the sea.
