Solid, But Unfinished

Apple's newest flagship phones, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, have once again captured attention despite missing some of their most anticipated features at launch. One key omission? Apple Intelligence.

Solid, But Unfinished

A subtle physical change this year comes in the form of slightly larger screens, with the iPhone 16 Pro now boasting a 6.3-inch display and the Pro Max stretching out to 6.9 inches. While a 0.2-inch increase might not sound like much, Apple has managed to keep the overall size and weight of the phones in check. Most users won't find them unwieldy, even the larger Pro Max. However, the real story here isn't the increased screen size, but the stunning visual quality. The displays remain some of the best in the business, with Apple's ProMotion technology delivering fluid refresh rates from 10Hz to 120Hz.

Under the hood, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are powered by the A18 Pro chip, a marvel of 3nm second-generation architecture.

In essence, this chip offers blistering performance across the board. Apple's proprietary chip design once again puts it leagues ahead of the competition, with CPU performance said to rival even desktop-class M1 chips. The new A18 Pro ensures that the iPhone 16 Pro series handles anything thrown at it-from intensive gaming to complex multitasking- without breaking a sweat.
