GRAFTING
The New Face of Youth
While it was used to reshape the silhouette, by increasing the size of the breasts and buttocks, fat is emerging as the new yellow gold for volumising (micrografting) or regenerating (nanografting) the face. A breeding ground for stem cells, it is taken with a very fine cannula from the inner surface of the knees, thighs or hips, purified then reinjected into the face, under local anaesthesia or sedation: either in depth to fill the hollows of dark circles, nasolabial folds or temples, or superficially in the dermis to erase spots, improve the quality of the skin and reduce fine lines.
Who is it for: Micrografting proves useful even at a very young age (a 20-year-old face whose very deep dark circles make it look tired) or as soon as there is a loss of volume without major sagging of the skin. Nanografting can permanently correct melasma or scars.
It Hurts: The areas taken sometimes have bruises for 3 weeks. On the injected areas, it is unpleasant to palpation and a little painful on the dark circles, which are strongly innervated.
It Shows: The volumising effect is well established after two months and, with it, a remarkable healthy glow. On the other hand, it takes 8 to 12 months for cell regeneration to be at its maximum.
The Right Timing: It takes 1 hour 30 mins per zone and three days to recover from lipo, then 1 month for everything to fall into place and the swelling to decrease.
CONTRAINDICATION: Those who smoke more than 15 cigarettes per day, tobacco prevents good vascularisation and kills fat cells.
How much it Costs: ₹2,22,143 approx for a targeted area and ₹3,55,430 approx for the entire face, on average.
