Adding new plants to a garden is a joy, but creating a whole new garden bed can completely transform your space and make it feel brand new again.

ON YOUR MARK…

When creating a new garden bed, make sure you get yourself a can of marking paint and mark out the size of the bed you want.

If you don’t want to use spray paint, laying a hose out on the ground will give you the same effect and is flexible too. Seeing the lines directly on the ground will allow you to experience the bed before you dig it out.

Check that it’s not too small or large and that you’ll still be able to move around the garden with ease. Run a wheelbarrow, the mower and bins around it to check it works for your space.
