EVERYTHING IS CHANGING FOR THE DANISH ROYAL – AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY
Queen Mary's new pain 'SHE FEELS SO ALONE'

Just over a year ago, Denmark's then Princess Mary was living the dream. She had a tiara on her head, a palace to live in and, most importantly, a very happy and united family. But ever since she was elevated to queen status following her mother-in-law Queen Margrethe's January abdication, nothing has gone according to plan.

Insiders say Mary, 52, is "going through some emotional turmoil" right now. And she definitely seemed downcast at a official engagement in Copenhagen on April 3, in a far cry from her usual bright demeanour.

Mary had recently returned from an Easter getaway with her husband, King Frederik, 55, and their four children. Our insiders say it this time away that made Mary realise things are changing, and not necessarily for the better.
