WHAT'S THE REAL REASON MEGHAN'S DITCHED HER ENGAGEMENT RING?
WILLIAM RAISES QUESTIONS OVER DIANA'S MISSING DIAMONDS

The date: November 27, 2017. The place: Kensington Palace. In front of the world's media, a glowing Meghan Markle proudly displayed her new engagement ring - and her new fiancé, Prince Harry, along with it.

Her doting partner happily declared he'd designed the jewellery himself, using a dazzling main stone from Botswana and, in a moving touch, two smaller diamonds from the collection of his late mother, Princess Diana.

"It's so important to me to know that she's a part of this with us," Meghan said at the time.

Two years later, keen-eyed royal watchers noted the ring had some extra sparkle and, it was revealed, it had been redesigned, the original gold band replaced with a micro pavé setting embedded with tiny diamonds.

Moving forward to the present and the story of this famous ring has taken a twist it's vanished!

When Meghan accepted a Women of Vision Award in New York in May, this historic piece of jewellery, valued at approximately $465,000, was nowhere to be seen.

At first, the Sussex camp stated the jewellery was "being fixed", with reports emerging that some of the stones had become loose and needed to be reset.
