A QUIET SPACE

The Mercedes EQS 450 4MATIC SUV is one of the most luxurious cars to be driven in.

A QUIET SPACE

The first thing that jumps out at you when you gaze upon the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV (sports utility vehicle) is just how utterly sumptuous everything looks.

Everything about the Three-Pointed Star's flagship counterpart to the all-electric sedan of the same name just oozes luxury, beginning from the jet-black faux radiator grille adorned with a nebula of Mercedes-Benz stars and stretching along its sporty, almost-imposing silhouette.

Make no mistake: the EQS SUV is huge. It isn't particularly tall - standing at a height of 1.72m on 21-inch wheels that come as standard - but it is big where it counts. The car is more than 5m long stem-to-stern and just shy of 2m wide.

These dimensions translate to a boot capacity of 245 litres with all three rows of seats still at play. You could just as easily fold down the back two rows to push the trunk space to over 2,000 litres, making room for golf bags, strollers and shopping with plenty to spare.

HYPE FOR THE HYPER SCREEN

But you wouldn't want to do that, since the best part about the EQS SUV is just how expansive the interior feels for all seven passengers. Those in the first two rows especially will feel a tangible sense of space thanks to the wagon's extra headroom.

The default Electric Art trim - one of two variants available in Singapore - offers plenty of fine leather surfaces to enjoy on the steering wheel, centre console and fascia in a relatively minimalist cabin.
