While London's National Portrait Gallery, home to one of the world's largest collections of portraits of the former prime minister, and St Paul's Cathedral, so beloved by Churchill that he ordered it to be protected from bombs at all costs during WWII, are great places to gain an insight into Churchill, we recommend checking out some of the lesser-known sites connected with the wartime prime minister. Today at the historic Donovan Bar at Mayfair's Brown's Hotel, where he'd often be found sipping his beloved brandy, cocktails on offer include the Whizz Pop, inspired by Roald Dahl's BFG and garnished with smoke-filled bubbles dispensed by the bar's bubble-making gun.
