GRACE POE
Senator, Republic of the Philippines (I look forward to) spending more quality time with family, as well as my daughter successfully finishing her course at grad school. I also hope for a safer, smarter, and more accessible public transportation system; more affordable prices for basic commodities like sibuyas (onion), siling labuyo (small chili pepper), galunggong (mackerel scad), brown sugar, etc; and building a more responsive public health system that can deliver quality care at a low cost so even the poor can access treatment.
Hopefully, government officials will be more accountable, efficient and proactive. (I am also hoping for) more Foreign Direct Investments that will provide employment and competition. Also, I hope there will be less negativity in social media and that the public to recognise and shun purveyors of fake news. Lastly, I wish to have more epic and creative Filipino movies, the entertainment industry’s return, and a healthier and more physically disciplined lifestyle.
