The Shri Ram College of Commerce in the capital has many firsts to its name-not only was it the first college dedicated to commerce education but it was also the first amongst co-ed educational institutes in Delhi to construct a girls' hostel in 1985. What also makes SRCC unique is the variety of perspectives, interactions and experiences students encounter on its campus and the fact that they are encouraged to think out of the box. Life at SRCC is not just about academics either-the college has over 50 societies and it regularly hosts seminars, workshops and events with industry professionals. A huge draw for aspiring students is the campus placement record. In 2022-23, SRCC had 500-plus students securing jobs with an average salary of Rs 10.15 lakh per annum; the highest package was Rs 35 lakh per annum (a 47 per cent increase from the previous year). Around 130 students also received internship offers with a total value of Rs 23.8 lakh. Over 100 companies came to recruit, and joining regulars like McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group and Deutsche Bank were first-timers like A&W Capital and Blackstone.
WHAT SETS IT APART
90 per cent of SRCC students who opted for placement secured a job after completing their BCom
The college has an NAAC CGPA score of 3.8/4
The average annual salary (domestic) offered to students is Rs 10.4 lakh, the second highest among BCom colleges
SRCC gets the highest number of applications per available seat
